WVC basketball: Knights sweep Chukars for 1st East Region wins

WENATCHEE — Men’s basketball in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges East Region is getting more unpredictable by the day.

It’s to the point where it’s tough to call any win for any team over any other team an upset, despite the record of the respective squads. It appears as though this might be one of those seasons that will be ruled by parity — a lot of good teams will emerge, but perhaps not at a great one. Just when one team starts to assert its dominance, it loses to a team below it in the standings, which could be tightly bunched throughout the season as a result. As Wenatchee Valley College coach Coby Weidenbach likes to say, any team on any given night can beat any other team.
