WENATCHEE — Washington state high school seniors graduating in spring 2014 have until Feb. 15 to apply for the Andrew York Memorial Scholarship.

At least $3,000 will be awarded. The scholarship is offered to students who are active in programs to prevent drug and alcohol abuse.

The scholarship, which is managed by the Community Foundation of NCW, honors Chelan PUD journeyman lineman Andrew York, who died in 2000 after being hit while on the job by a drunken driver.
