WENATCHEE — In front of a record home crowd excited for the postgame fireworks show, the Wenatchee AppleSox — save for one inning — struggled to find any pop of their own.

Although the offensive numbers — six runs on seven hits — look somewhat appealing on the surface, the home team had only two hits that weren’t softly-hit singles. What started as a matchup of dominating starting pitching, ended in a mistake-filled close game, which Bellingham eventually won 7-6.
