NCW — From North Central Washington’s largest town to its smallest, people spent this Fourth of July doing some of their favorite things.

Picnics, parades and, well, pit-spitting, to name a few.

In Wenatchee, people came from far and wide — or maybe they just happened by while visiting Pybus Market — to compete in the First Annual Washington State Cherry Pit Spit on Friday afternoon.
