GRAND COULEE — Over 100 campers enjoying Fourth of July weekend on Banks Lake were evacuated Saturday night in one of three fires now in mop-up stage near Grand Coulee.

The 12-acre fire was ignited by fireworks, and it wasn’t big, but it threatened the most people as it burned toward a camping area in the Barker Canyon area, said Douglas County Fire District 3 Chief Dale Rinker.
