Gerald and Liane Hickman of East Wenatchee will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary during a finger food potluck at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Bible Church, 605 First St. in Wenatchee. The potluck will be followed by a reception from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Church. The family requests no gifts.

Liane Edwards and Gerald Hickman were married July 7, 1954 in Gays, Ill. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, and the family lived in many locations including Long Beach, Calif., Seattle, Albuquerque, San Antonio, Keflavik, Iceland, Kodiak and Adak, Alaska, and Wahiawa, Hawaii. Following his retirement from the Navy, they moved to Kenai, Alaska, where she continued to work for the civil service. She transferred to the state civil service office in Wenatchee in 1977. The couple owned and operated apple orchards for several years. She continues to operate a horticultural and floral business, as well as a custom painting business. He continues to operate an archery equipment and bow tuning business.
