ENTIAT — The Mills Canyon Fire is also taking a toll on travel in Chelan County.

Highway 97A between Wenatchee and Entiat remains closed this morning in both directions due to low visibility from smoke and fire fighting activities, said Lauren Loebsack with Chelan County Public Works.

The closure runs from milepost 201 in Wenatchee to milepost 230.5 just south of Chelan, said a State Patrol advisory.

Traffic is being detoured along Highway 2 to Highway 97 on the eastside of the Columbia River.

As of 10 a.m. today, there was no estimated time for reopening the road.

Other Chelan County roads with fire restrictions — either closed or limited to local traffic only — include:

Near Wenatchee: Burch Mountain Road and Swakane Canyon Road.

Near Entiat: Casey Lane, Cemetery Road, Crum Canyon Road, Dinkelman Canyon Road, Entiat River Road, Jenne Drive, Jenne Lane, Mad River Road, Mills Canyon Road, Moe Ridge Road, Mud Creek Road, Osburn Canyon Road, Roaring Creek Road and Tyee Drive.
