Delbert Earl “Beau” Williams

Wenatchee, WA

Delbert Earl “Beau” Williams, 75, a resident of Wenatchee WA since 1969, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Cashmere Convalescent Center. Beau was born February 5, 1939, in Illinois to Vermont and Margret Williams. He was one of four children. Beau received his education in Hume, IL, where he enjoyed playing on the school’s basketball teams. After graduating, he enlisted in the US Army, serving two years in Korea. Returning to the US, he was stationed at Fort Lewis in Olympia, WA, where he met his bride, Carol Brady; he was honorably discharged in 1960 and Beau and Carol married in 1961. Out of that union, they had three children, Kelli, Keith and Karla. He worked at Boeing, Foss Launch and Tug, then moved to Wenatchee, WA and worked for Sears, retiring in 1996, after 26 years. Beau loved camping and fishing in Conconully, WA with his family and enjoyed cooking and being somewhat of a “Mr. Belvedere”. He always loved taking care of others.

He is survived by his children, Kelli (Jim) Volkmann of Wenatchee, Keith Williams of Brewster, Karla (Dean) Schwab of Valley, WA; ex-wife, Carol (Rene Standerfer); sisters, Janet and Linda of Illinois; grandchildren, Stephanie, Andralea, Matt, Kayla and Brianna; and great grandchildren, Colby, Elvis, Reid, and Shaelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dana; best friends, John Cannon and Gene Sackman.

A Pot-luck-style, Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2014, at The American Legion in Wenatchee, WA. For those who wish to do so, a donation may be made at Cashmere Valley Bank to the Beau Williams Memorial Fund, which will be used to help fund the Celebration of Life. Need contact info? Please feel free to call Kelli Volkmann at 509-630-5177 or Andee Lorenson 509-630-5449, and “May the Bird Of Paradise fly up your nose!”
