Helen Elizabeth Robinson, 91, of Cashmere, WA, passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 10, 2014. Helen was born August 9, 1922, to Carolyn and Harry Joyce in Kearney, NJ. She was an active member of Cashmere’s Wakoka Kiwanis, Women’s Club, Lioness Club, and the Cashmere American Legion Auxiliary. She also volunteered at the Cashmere Museum and was cashier at the American Legion’s Saturday night Bingo for years. Until her passing, Helen lived an active life traveling with family, socializing with her dear friends, and spending as much time as possible with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Gladys “Bobbie” (Buck) Lewis and Carole (Bud) Newberry, all of Cashmere; five grandchildren, Holly (Marco) Dirks, Wendy Lewis, Dawn (Mark) Harper, Marshall (Sue) Newberry and Matthew (Olivia) Newberry; and five great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
