Barbara Renberg

February 6, 1921 ~ July 10, 2014

Barbara Renberg went home to be with her Lord and Savior July 10, 2014. She was born in 1921, to Stull and Frances Wright and raised in Shelley, ID. After high school, she moved to Salt Lake City, UT, where she received her RN license. She practiced nursing for many years. Music was an important part of Barbara’s life. She was an accomplished pianist, organist, accompanist and piano teacher. She married Don Copeland in 1943, and they had three children. As a military wife, Barbara lived in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Colorado, Missouri and Japan. She obtained a BA in Elementary Education from Idaho State University in 1973, and taught first grade in Idaho Falls for two years. In 1975, she married Dan Renberg and moved to Plain, WA and then to Leavenworth, WA. Friends and family, including Dan’s children, Pat Bossen, Perry, Dean and Dave, kept their home filled with laughter and music. She was kind, considerate and unassuming, putting the needs of others first. The seeds for Cascade Mountain Bible Church were planted and sown in their home.

Barbara was preceded in death by husband, Dan; and sister, Juanita; and is survived by sister, Doris Plesner of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Patti Powers of East Wenatchee, WA; sons Bob Copeland of Leavenworth, WA and Gary Copeland of Sandy, OR; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

In loving memory of her gracious character, a Memorial Service will be held at Cascade Mountain Bible Church in Leavenworth on Friday, July 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Cascade Mountain Bible Church.
