Velocity swimmer Wierzbicki continues to excel

You might ask yourself what swimmers do when they have had a long hard weekend of racing. For one Velocity Swimming team member, it meant enjoying a day at Chelan Slides with her teammates on Monday, training on Tuesday morning and then heading off to a championship level swim meet Wednesday through Friday to compete against many of the Western United States’ top swimmers.

Jessica Wierzbicki, 14, of Wenatchee, came off of a tough heat- and smoke-filled weekend to improve three out of four of her best times while competing at the SPEEDO Senior Sectional Meet held in Gresham, Ore. , last week.
