WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee AppleSox didn’t wait long to put Thursday’s non-league contest out of reach. The AppleSox (2-0 overall) scored six runs in the first inning en route to a lopsided 16-4 win over the San Francisco Seals at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.

Wenatchee recorded five of their 21 hits in the bottom of the first inning and capitalized off San Francisco’s four errors to take a 6-1 lead at the heading into the second frame. The AppleSox scattered 16 hits and 10 runs over the next six innings and led the Seals 16-4 at the end of the seventh.
