Classrooms Can! grants announced

The Community Foundation of North Central Washington recently awarded $43,000 in Classrooms Can! grants to 43 teachers across 14 school districts.

The $1,000 grants were awarded for innovative projects that helped engage students for use in the 2014-15 academic year.

Awards were distributed in five funding areas: arts education, field trips, literacy and social studies, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) or wellness.
