Our communities will be stronger and more resilient in the long run if we find creative ways to tap into the leadership talents and capabilities of more people.

Two demographic groups come to mind that could be more effectively engaged: the Latino community and the younger generation.

The traditional industrial model of leadership, which was built on solitary leaders making top-down decisions with limited input or involvement, doesn’t work in today’s diverse communities.
