YAKIMA -- The Wenatchee AppleSox have made it a habit of finding their offense late in contests so far this season, and that's proved effective. The AppleSox (4-1 overall) did just that Sunday against the Yakima Valley Pippins, scoring two runs in the top of the seventh inning to go ahead 3-2, a lead which stuck for the remainder of the contest.

Trenton Brooks plated Caleb Wood with a sacrifice fly and Nick Brooks sent Sam Brown home with a double to give Wenatchee the late lead. Ian Buckles gave up two runs and six hits in six innings of work in the winning effort.
