LOOMIS — The Sinlahekin Wildlife Area, the state’s first wildlife area, will celebrate its 75th anniversary with events throughout the summer.

Events kicked off Saturday at the wildlife headquarters, where a barbecue lunch was hosted along with the dedication of a hiking trail.

Free public field trips and presentations this coming Saturday and Sunday will be the first in a six-weekend series on subjects that include plants, animals and geography.

A full schedule of events is available on the state…
