August 2, 1941 ~ June 9, 2014

Gloria Jean Lydic was born August 2, 1941, in Los Angeles, CA and passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. She had lived in Everett, WA before retiring and moving to Leavenworth, WA, where she had resided for the past 15 years. Gloria was a dancer and model, worked at a school cafeteria, Yung Lui’s photography studio, an Avon and Mary Kay representative, and was “the best mother and homemaker that anyone could be blessed with.” She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Cashmere, WA. Gloria enjoyed eating out with friends, baking, canning, knitting and quilting, composing personalized cards on her computer, traveling with her husband, Larry, and friends on cruises, and she made “the best jam in the world.”

Gloria is survived by her husband, Larry; and her children Michael, David, and Tracy.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 401 Elberta in Cashmere, with a reception following. Pastor Rob Gohl will be officiating. Viewing will be held at Ward’s Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 13, 2014, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be sent to Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 565, Cashmere, WA 98815. Arrangements by Ward’s Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth.
