WENATCHEE — Boat launches at the foot of Wenatchee’s Orondo Avenue and at Kirby Billingsley Hydro Park will remain open this weekend, afterall, following a revision in expected Columbia River flows.

The Chelan County PUD had expected to close the launches as part of seasonal river operations needed to fill Lake Roosevelt, the reservoir behind Grand Coulee Dam.

But new flow estimates show the launches should be able to stay open, PUD spokeswoman Suzanne Hartman said late Friday.
