WENATCHEE — Boat launches at the foot of Wenatchee’s Orondo Avenue and at Kirby Billingsley Hydro Park remained open this weekend, following a revision in expected Columbia River flows.

The Chelan County PUD Friday announced it would close the launches due to reduced flows from seasonal river operations needed to fill Lake Roosevelt, the reservoir behind Grand Coulee Dam.

But revised flow estimates later in the day showed the launches could stay open, PUD spokeswoman Suzanne Hartman said late Friday.
