A silent divide exists between the Latinos and Anglos in North Central Washington and one wonders how we might build bridges between those communities.

When Juana Bordas came to town last week to speak at Wenatchee Valley College’s graduation and at a public meeting, she gave us some new ways to think about the issue. I came away with a deeper appreciation for the Latino culture and how tapping into its strengths could be of value in building our shared future here.
