For Christian Cutter (12) of East Wenatchee and Braden Dilly (13) of Wenatchee, last weekend’s Wine Country swim meet in Toppenish couldn’t have gone better. Both walked away from the meet with a high-point champion trophy.
The two Velocity swimmers led their team to a sixth-place finish out of 17 teams despite being the third smallest represented team at the meet with only 15 total swimmers. Finishing ahead of Velocity was Cascade Swim Club with 883 points, Olympic Cascade Aquatics with 587 points, the Tri-City Channel Cats with 518 points, Chinook Aquatic Club with 496 points, King Aquatic Club with 470 points and Velocity Swimming with 390 points in sixth. Each team ahead of Velocity brought anywhere from 45 to 90 swimmers.
