YourSports: New beginnings for Velocity swim team

Velocity Swimming, the Wenatchee Valley’s only year-around competitive swimming team, competed Friday through Sunday in the Inland Empire Short Course Swimming (IES) Championship in Moscow, Idaho.

Velocity finished the meet in second place out of 16 teams, overtaking the Spokane Waves but falling just behind the Tri-City Channel Cats.

Velocity won the 10&U and 12&U team age group high point awards.
