Donald William Moos, 90, a longtime Wenatchee resident, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014.
He founded and served as president of the Washington Association of Wheat Growers. He also served as the Washington state director of agriculture, director of cabinet affairs, special assistant for natural resources, director of fisheries and director of ecology. He also worked as the fisheries coordinator for the Chelan, Douglas and Grant county PUDs, was the senior policy advisor to U.S. Sen. Slade Gorton and worked as the land use hearing examiner for Douglas County.
Survivors include his children, Merry-K. Moos of Durham, N.C., and William H. Moos of Pullman; and his brother, Lester Moos of Edwall.
A private graveside service will be held at the Edwall Cemetery. A celebration of life service will be held later this year.
Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
