Alex Ludeman, 17, a multi-class driver from Waterville, may remain humble about his racing career, and non-committal about his future in the sport, for now, but don’t tell the folks around him – because they’re getting excited. He’s turned heads in the Legends class, racing with the Columbia River Legends, a travelling class that makes a few stops every year at Wenatchee Valley’s Super Oval – where Ludeman is a regular in the local Mini Super Stocks class.

But the Legends class is where he’s dabbling in national exposure. And in a class like that, who knows, maybe international exposure, someday.
