BEVERLY — The state Department of Fish and Wildlife has closed five water-access sites along the Columbia River behind Wanapum Dam to ensure public safety and protect fish habitat and archeological and cultural resources.

The five sites are Yo Yo, near the Colockum/Tarpiscan wildlife area, south of Wenatchee; the Old Vantage Highway river access in Kittitas County; and Frenchman Coulee, Sunland Estates and Buckshot in Grant County.
