Briefly: Local trio to play in all-state basketball game

Three Caribou Trail League boys basketball players have been picked to play in the 2014 Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association All-State games, Saturday at Eastside Catholic High School in Sammamish.

Brewster’s Easton Driessen, Cashmere’s Dylan Boyd and Okanogan’s Justin Rivas will play for the 1A team, which will play the 2A all-stars at 4 p.m.

Driessen and Boyd were first-team all-CTL picks this season, and Rivas was the CTL player of the year.
