Cindy Lynette (Estes) Pitt

1961 ~ 2014

Cindy Lynette (Estes) Pitt went to be with the angels in heaven with her loving husband, mother and other family by her side on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Cindy was born in Newport, AR in 1961 to Jimmy and Joan Estes. In 1963, Cindy moved with her parents to Washington from Arkansas. She attended Orondo Elementary and Eastmont High School. Later, she received an accounting degree from Wenatchee Valley College. After the death of her father, Cindy began working in the family orchard. Cindy met her future husband, Charles Pitt, as she was working the family orchard in July 1998. Together they fell in love, sharing an interest in riding motorcycles and spending time together. Eventually, Cindy started a budding flower business, where she quickly became an expert in growing hanging flower baskets.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Pitt of Wenatchee; her mother, Joan Estes of Orondo; daughter, Starrla Scharpp of Wenatchee; daughter, Kristina Scharpp of Wenatchee; her sister, Teresa Estes of Wenatchee; her brother, JD Estes of Seattle; two grandchildren, Lillian and Andre; one niece, Brandy Estes; and one nephew, Dustin Glenn. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Estes; and a sister, who passed in infancy.

Cindy will be laid to rest at a Graveside Service at the Orondo Cemetery on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., with a Reception to follow at the Orondo Community Church. Visitation will be available at Telford’s Chapel of the Valley in East Wenatchee on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
