Roland Edward Palmer, 73, a longtime resident of Riverside and Tunk Valley, died Monday, March 17, 2014, in East Wenatchee.

He had been a mechanic and owned Ron’s Mobile Truck Repair in Whittier, Calif. He worked as a mechanic, fabricator and welder for a local machine shop and small gas engine repair shop in Tunk Valley.

Survivors include his children, Tammy Hosfield of Wilsall, Mont., Darrell Palmer of Riverside, Calif., Roland Palmer II of Covina, Calif., and Natasha Martin of East Wenatchee; his stepchildren, Peterjohn Martinez and Senovia Martinez, both of Spokane; and his siblings, Garnet Jones of Tucson, Ariz., Ronald Palmer and Russell Palmer, both of Billings, Mont., and Phyllis DeSoto of Lenoir City, Tenn.

A celebration of life service and potluck will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19 at the Riverside Grange Hall in Riverside.

Arrangements are by Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
