City facilities need some improving, feds say

WENATCHEE — The federal government wants the city of Wenatchee to trim the lavender bushes at its public services building on McKittrick Street, leaving at least one city officials shaking his head in disbelief.

“Do these folks just not have enough to do,” asked City Councilman Mark Kulaas at Thursday’s council meeting, balking at the need to trim flowers and to regrade a small section of parking lot to shave .07-percent grade of slope, among other things that need fixing.
