ORONDO — Academically, Orondo students in the migrant program are improving.
Testing between fall and winter shows:
68 percent grew more in reading skills than their peers — both migrant and non-migrant — nationwide.
56 percent grew more in math skills than their peers nationwide. But, of the 60 students in the Orondo migrant program, four showed no gains in reading; and five showed no gains in math.
