Archie “Dale” Wyles

Wenatchee, WA

Archie “Dale” Wyles, 90, of Wenatchee, WA, is now with his Lord and Savior. Dale was born to Archie and Lucy (Gallaher) Wyles in a farm house in Mansfield, WA on September 16, 1923, the third of four sons, and passed away on February 11, 2014. The family moved to Zillah, WA when Dale was a young boy. It was at Zillah High School, where he met his wife, Evelyn Thomas. Dale owned a successful service station in Yakima, WA. He was hired by Wenatchee Crystal Linen Supply as a driver salesman in 1957, where he met many friends, and retired from there in 1987.

Dale Loved the Lord with all of his heart! He studied the Bible and, with that knowledge, became an Elder, Sunday School Teacher, Ordained Minister, President of the Full Gospel Ministries, and coached Church league Basketball and Softball. He also was an avid golfer, and a member of the Three Lakes Golf Course, where he was known as the “Candy Man”, handing out candy to his fellow golfers and staff.

Dale was a very kind and gentle man, a true servant of God, and a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Earl and Lionel Wyles. He is survived by his wife of 70-1/2 years, Evelyn; sons, Ray (Linda) Wyles, and Tom (Deb) Wyles; daughters, Mary (Rudy) Zavala, and Ruth (Tom) Toler; grandchildren, Sue Heitzman, Jason Wyles, David and Darcel Zavala, Harrison and Lucy Wyles, and Travis Toler; brother, Paul (Elaine) Wyles; and great-grandchildren, Nikole and Trever Wyles, Abby Lindemann, and Brooklynn Lovell. He will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be held on Palm Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 1520 McKittrick Street in Wenatchee. Dale loved animals. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society, in memory of Dale Wyles.
