...WINTER STORM FOR MUCH OF THE REGION POSSIBLE LATE THIS WEEK... .A LONG PERIOD OF LIGHT ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL ADD UP TO POSSIBLE MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OVER A 24 TO 36 HOUR PERIOD. ACCUMULATING SNOW WILL BEGIN THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN THE CASCADES AND BEGINNING THURSDAY EVENING OVER THE REST OF THE REGION. THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF OVER MOST AREAS BY LATE FRIDAY...SNOW SHOWERS

East Wenatchee, WA

Roland Edward Palmer I, 73, a longtime resident of Riverside and Tunk Valley, WA, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014, in East Wenatchee, after a short battle with lung cancer. He was born on October 22, 1940, at Lakeview, SD, to the late Edward Raymond “Ray” and Emma Leotina (Schrader) Palmer.

He is survived by his children, Tammy (Robert) Hosfield of Wilsall, MT, Darrell (Mirta) Palmer of Riverside, CA, Roland Edward Palmer II of Covina, CA and Natasha (Kyle) Martin of East Wenatchee; his step-children, Peterjohn (Mitzie) Martinez, and Senovia Martinez, all of Spokane, WA; four siblings, Garnet (Dale) Jones of Tucson, AZ, Ronald (Arlee) Palmer, and Russell Palmer, all of Billings, MT and Phyllis (Harold) DeSoto of Lenoir City, TN; 15 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Palmer-Dahl; his parents; sister, Ruby Harris; and an infant brother and sister.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Riverside, WA at the Riverside Grange Hall on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. Guests are welcome to bring a dish to share at the potluck and to share their memories of Roland. You are invited to visit his tribute online at www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel, East Wenatchee.
