This month began the third year of the Holden Mine’s cleanup by the Rio Tinto corporation, which is investing about $100 million into the four-year project.
Last Wednesday, Dave Cline of that company gave a report on the process at Campbell’s in Chelan.
This year will be a big one for construction on the project. A 4,000-foot-long impervious wall is being installed along Railroad Creek to stop water from leaching into the stream from the old mine.
