EAST WENATCHEE — There’s a new way to see the reproduction of the famous Miss Veedol airplane that Clyde Pangborn and Hugh Herndon Jr. flew on the first nonstop crossing of the Pacific Ocean in 1931.
Nine viewing windows have been cut into Miss Veedol/East Wenatchee Rotary hangar at Pangborn Memorial Airport, allowing viewing any day of the week. The hangar is just past the airport terminal.
The windows can be seen from the airport exit road.
