The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival never has been ordinary. There is something about it you can’t quite put your finger on, something that brings us together. Maybe it’s tradition, mutual admiration, or a collective appreciation of ourselves and our place, but there is something that keeps bringing us back, year after year.

It is the Apple Blossom Festival that grows and strengthens while so many other community festivals fizzle and fade. It has been with us 95 years, but it is not old. It is not stale. For those living in our two cities, for their children and children’s children spread far and wide, there are few dates more significant than the first weekend in May.
