Communications Officer 1 Jennifer Jaspers has been selected as the 2013 Washington State Patrol District Six Communications Officer of the Year for Sustained Superior Performance for the second year in a row. The communications center, located in Wenatchee, serves Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, Grant, Kittitas and (the Othello area of) Adams counties.
David W. Parsons CLU, ChFC, CASL, managing director and financial advisor for Northwestern Mutual in Wenatchee has been approved for membership in the 2014 Million Dollar Round Table. Parsons is a Life and Qualifying member, with over 25 years of membership.
Jennifer Koth, a teacher at Manson Secondary and Avid Castro, a paraeducator at Manson Elementary, have been named the 2013-14 Blue and White Excellence Awards winners for the Manson School District. Koth was recognized for the many hours she spent redesigning the Language Arts curriculum. Castro was recognized for going the extra mile for staff and students, often staying late for school activities. Koth and Castro will be officially recognized at the Manson School District Board of Directors meeting April 28 and at the annual Chelan County Awards Banquet April 29 at Campbell’s Resort.
J. Perrin Cornell, a broker with the local office of Century 21, recently completed eight hours of specialized courses presented by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission, covering the Home Advantage Program, in Seattle.

Josh Stendera has joined the Wenatchee branch of North Cascades Bank as senior vice president and chief credit officer. He holds a degree in business administration and finance from Seattle Pacific University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.
Sharlene England has been named as interim store manager for the YWCA Boutique store, 1052 Valley Mall Parkway in East Wenatchee. She has worked for the YWCA for four years as part-time marketing manager.
Jerry Moberg, a longtime resident of Moses Lake and a Grant County attorney, has been elected to the board of governors of the Washington State Bar Association. Moberg has been a member of the Bar Association for 40 years.
André Peters, a broker with Coldwell Banker LaVigne, has been honored as a member of the company’s 2013 Top Producer Bronze Society. This is the second year in a row that Peters has received this award.

Jodi Farris has opened Old Town Barber Shop at 9th and Baker streets in East Wenatchee. She had worked at Holbens Barber Shop for the past year, and felt the need for a traditional barber shop in East Wenatchee. She relocated to Wenatchee two years ago from Eatonville and has owned two barber shops over the past 30 years.
Dr. Meredith Owen has joined Countryside Veterinary Large Animal Clinic as a veterinarian. She recently moved to the area and brings with her expertise in lameness, preventive medicine and internal medicine for horses.

Susi Miguel of Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) has been promoted from human resources assistant to human resources specialist. She has been a member of the CVCH human resources department since 2012 and is one quarter away from earning a bachelor’s degree in business.
Chad Wickert of CVCH has been promoted from IT support specialist to application support specialist. He has been with CVCH since 2008, starting in the purchasing department and transitioning to the IT department in 2009. He recently completed his Network+ Certification and is working towards his Microsoft Professional certifications.
