THIS BAND WILL ALSO CONTAIN SOME EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER RAINFALL RATES THAT COULD LEAD TO FLASH FLOODING.

Sarah Louise Snider Hall, 83, lifetime local resident, passed away on May 7, 2014. Sarah was born in Waterville, WA to Benjamin and Eldridge Snider and they moved to Wenatchee in 1942. She attended Wenatchee High School class of 1949. Sarah worked at the Mission Street Theater and also packed cherries while in high school. She married Cecil G. Hurd in 1948, and had two children. She attended Wenatchee Business School and then worked as Executive Secretary at Rock Island Dam. While there, she met the love of her life, Nelson T. Hall, and they were married for 61 years and added three more children. They made their home in East Wenatchee since 1961. After being a homemaker for many years, Sarah went to work at JCPenney in customer service and later worked at the Washington Apple Commission. Sarah and Nelson owned and operated an apple orchard for 32 years. They also owned and operated the Owl Cafe; and the Quail Run Cafe; in the early 1980s. She was an exceptional cook, gardener and avid reader. She enjoyed many loves and skills of canning fruit, pony harness racing and daily cross word puzzles. She belonged to Saint Ann’s Guild, Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Young Ladies Institute (YLI). She was Eucharistic minister at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in East Wenatchee for 22 years. She lived for family, faith and friends.

She is survived by husband, Nelson T. Hall Jr.; children: Barry A. (Glenda Thompson) Hurd of East Wenatchee, Dana L. (Darrel)Schmidt of East Wenatchee, Nelson T. Hall III of Kent WA, Nancy D. (Michael) Francis of Wenatchee, and Mary E. Hall of Wenatchee; many beloved grandchildren: Hydee Shrader, Ben Sanford, Darrel Schmidt Jr., Robert Sanford, Tim Jensen, Sheana Ratcliff and Arianna Hall; and ten great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; siblings, Ben Snider, Mary Tholcke, Tom Snider, Steve Schneider, and David Snider; and grandchild, Joseph Sanford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 19, 2014, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in East Wenatchee. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel. Arrangements are by Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
