EAST WENATCHEE — For the second time this week, a weed-burning torch started a fire that got out of control.

A resident in the 2700 block of North Ashland was using the tool to burn weeds about 2:45 p.m. Monday when flames caught siding on fire on his house, said Capt. Jeff Stephens with Douglas County Fire District 2. The homeowner used a fire extinguisher and firefighters were able to limit damage to about two square feet.
