Bobbie Lee (Rains) Sexton

Bobbie Lee (Rains) Sexton, 88, passed away Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014. Mom was born March 2, 1926, to Tim and Bessie (Lawson) Rains in Union, AR. She went to school in Oxford, AR, where she graduated from high school. On July 11, 1946, Mom married our dad, Dean Sexton, at East Wenatchee, WA. They had three children, Joann Rolen and twin brother, Jearl Sexton, and younger brother, Ermal Sexton. The family settled in the Wenatchee Valley in 1957. Mom was a very hard worker and retired from Cascadian Fruit Company as an apple packer. She truly loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Jearl Sexton of Wenatchee; her daughter, Joann (Jack) Rolen of East Wenatchee; sisters, Faye Garrett of Batesville, AR and Carolyn Cooper of Judsonia, AR; brother, Dempsy Rains of Russellville, AR; three grandsons, Jamie, Jearl Jr., and Michael; one special granddaughter, Jackie Carter; four great-grandchildren, Derek, Kayla, Jayde, and Kendra; and four great-great-grandchildren, Emilee, Kason, Madilynn, and Kellen. Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Sexton; her son, Ermal; and her parents, Tim and Bessie Rains.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Wenatchee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 15, 2014, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Jones & Jones~Betts Memorial Chapel.
