Jennifer Lynn (Roberts) Johnson

Jennifer, our beloved daughter, sister, aunt and mother, passed away suddenly on May 2, 2014, in Riverside County, California. Jennifer was born in Engelwood, CA to Don and Melba Roberts. She had a compassionate, loving personality. Jennifer attended school in Palm Desert, CA through ninth grade. Thereafter, she attended Eastmont High School in East Wenatchee, WA. Jennifer enjoyed school and was active in drill/flag team and various school activities. Jennifer graduated from Eastmont High in 1983, and then completed beautician training and worked as a hairdresser in the Wenatchee Valley for five years and then in Tacoma for five years. She then moved to Palm Desert and worked first for Genova Produce Company as a receptionist and then for Sun World Produce Company. She later was employed by J & J Produce, which allowed her to work with her brother, Jeff, and father, Don. Jennifer and Kent Johnson married on October 10, 1992, at Palm Desert, CA. Their daughter, Makenzie, was born in November 1999. They later resided in Temecula, CA for several years, before relocating to East Wenatchee and residing there for four years.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Kent Johnson of Palm Desert, CA; daughter, Makenzie Johnson of East Wenatchee; mother, Melba Zoglman of East Wenatchee; brother, Jeff Roberts (Michelle) of Palm Desert, CA; nephew, Tyler Roberts; niece, Kyleigh Roberts; brothers-in-law, Matt Johnson and family and Eric Johnson, all of Cleveland, OH; aunt, Cheryl Lyons of Palm Desert, CA; cousins, Erin Witte and Heather (David) Witte-Stegeman of Gig Harbor, WA; and uncle, Alan Witte (Laine) of East Wenatchee. Jennifer was preceded in death by her father, Don Roberts; aunt, Patricia Witte; and grandparents, Homer and Bernice Montgomery, and Don and Marion Roberts.
A Funeral Service will be held at Eastmont Community Church on Friday, May 16, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Graveside Service at Evergreen Memorial Park. A luncheon will follow at the church. Arrangements are by Telford’s Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
