WENATCHEE — Minutes after his team completed what was arguably the biggest upset of the season in Caribou Trail League soccer, Brewster Bears coach Ernie Santos was already picking apart his team’s deficiencies.

Sure, the Bears — who defeated the defending class 1A state champs 3-1 Saturday at the Apple Bowl in Wenatchee to clinch the 1A/B Distrcit 6/7 title — did a lot right. They dominated in scoring opportunities, outshooting their opponent 13-5, and they likewise dominated possession. And, most importantly, they converted enough of those shots into goals. Luis Orozco accounted for two of those scores, both of which came late in the second half.
