Moses Coulee has been described as “frozen in time,” but that is probably an exaggeration.
However, time does seen to move more slowly there. We toured it last Saturday, thanks to the Wenatchee Erratics, whose president Brent Cunderla led us.
Fruit is still raised in the lower reaches of the coulee, but is no longer hauled by rail. The 60-mile branch line was abandoned in 1985 after 76 years of service.
