PORTLAND - Monday's loser-out game between Wenatchee Valley College and Treasure Valley at the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges softball tournament at Delta Park featured two potent offenses that scored runs this season in very different ways.

The Knights, who beat the Chukars in all four of their regular-season meetings, didn't possess a lot of power (13 home runs for the entire season), but they featured a potent attack nonetheless by featuring a lineup full of gap hitters (14 triples, second in the NWAACC) and fast, intelligent baserunners (they stole an NWAACC-leading 89 stolen bases). Treasure Valley, on the other hand, was the association's best power-hitting squad, finishing with an NWAACC-leading 92 home runs.
