City looking for the perfect Christmas tree

EAST WENATCHEE — The City of East Wenatchee is in need of a Christmas tree to place in front of city hall for the winter holiday season. Specifically, they are looking for a blue spruce or fir tree that is 30 to 40 feet high, preferably located in the East Wenatchee/Douglas County area.

Hope Project to hold fundraiser for Ebola

LEAVENWORTH — Washington-based nonprofit The Hope Project will host a free fundraiser from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Cashmere Riverside Center.

Take A Kid Mountain Biking Day

CHELAN — The International Mountain Bicycling Association, The Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance and the U.S. Forest Service will hold a kids’ mountain biking day beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday on the trails at Echo Ridge.
