Demolition work continues for Pangborn runway

Palm says he will come back in February to take away the remnants of the houses in the area.

House passes Stehekin Road, cabin fees bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday passed the National Defense Authorization Act, which included amendments to rebuild the upper Stehekin Valley Road and to change the fee system for people who own cabins on national forest land.

Business Past: Conrad Rose Building

Pioneer Conrad Rose built the Conrad Rose Building on North Wenatchee Avenue in 1919. It was home of the Studebaker agency in this 1932 photo. It later housed the Chevrolet dealership.
