Wenatchee allows only 14 shots on goal

SOLDOTNA, Alaska — Wenatchee held Kenai River to just 14 shots on goal Wednesday night, winning 5-1 to complete a two-game sweep of the Brown Bears. Shawn Pauly scored a hat trick, the Wild were two for four on the power play and James Adamo turned away 13 shots to record the victory, his second of the season in a Wild uniform.

SOLDOTNA, Alaska — The Wenatchee Wild won their sixth straight game Tuesday night, beating the Kenai River Brown Bears 3-2. Kenai River scored the game’s first and last goals, but the Wild strung together three straight in the middle to claim victory.

WENATCHEE — For the second time in as many nights, a player new to Wenatchee played a key role in a Wild victory. James Adamo, added to the roster due to an injury to goaltender Mac Carruth, stopped 24 shots in his Wild debut, and the Wild won 3-1 to complete a two-game sweep of the Texas Tornado.

WENATCHEE — Wenatchee Wild defenseman Kyle Brodie was named the NAHL’s West Division Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1. Brodie had two goals and three assists in the Wild’s weekend sweep of Wichita Falls. He had two assists in Friday’s 6-5 win, then had two goals and an assist in the first period of Saturday’s 4-2 victory.

WENATCHEE — The Wenatchee Wild converted on four of six power play opportunities and managed to hold off a tenacious Wichita Falls Wildcats team 6-5 on Friday night. Wenatchee’s first four goals came on the power play, but Wichita Falls had the answer each time, tying the game for the last time 6:00 into the third period.

The 10- and 11-year-old students simply watched him, a humble, 6-foot-3-inch guy from Minnesota in a blue-and-white hockey jersey.

Wild finish Alaska trip in shootout win

WASILLA, Alaska — Mitch Torrel scored two goals in regulation, and Wenatchee’s defense held on until the Wild could finally vanquish the Alaska Avalanche in a shootout on Saturday night. The Wild defeated the Avalanche 3-2, and wrapped up their road trip through Alaska with a record of 7-3.

Avs goalie gets leg up on Wild

WASILLA, Alaska — The Wenatchee Wild and Alaska Avalanche came into Friday night’s game with two of the best goaltending tandems in the league. But in the first meeting of the year between the two teams with the best records in the West Division, it was the Avs’ Landon Peterson who had the upper hand. Peterson stopped 25 shots on the way to a 4-0 shutout victory.
