East Wenatchee car tab proposal on hold

EAST WENATCHEE -- Mayor Steve Lacy has recommended the city council hold off on a vote to impose an annual $20 car tab until city officials make sure the revenues could be used for secondary street improvements. Lacy said Friday that he has advised the council that the state legislature may have created limits that prevent car-tab revenue from being used for neighborhood street repairs – the city’s desired use of the revenue.
