Cecil Henry Thompson, longtime Wenatchee, WA resident, was surrounded by family as he passed away peacefully in his home on June 30, 2014, after his battle with prostate cancer. Cecil was born on June 9, 1932, in Scobey, MT to Henry and Hulda Thompson. He was the youngest of seven children. Cecil spent his early years growing up on the family farm in Scobey. May D. "Mazie" Gutzwiler, 96, a lifelong resident of Wenatchee, WA, died peacefully at her residence in Malaga, WA on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. May was born on Wenatchee Heights May 7, 1918. She graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1937. On February 15, 1942, she married Leo R. Gutzwiler. They made their home in San Diego, CA for one year, while Leo was working at Consolidated Aircraft during WWII. Upon returning to Wenatchee, they made their home on Wenatchee Heights, where they grew apples, cherries and apricots.
