Gene Arthur Leyden of Jupiter, FL, passed away on January 3, 2015. He was born on June 30, 1952, in Washington State and grew up in Puyallup and Wenatchee. He excelled in Karate and earned his pilot's license, flying a Cessna 172 throughout the Cascade Mountains of North Central Washington, before moving permanently to Palm Beach County in 1988. He sailed across the Atlantic and spent a summer traveling through Europe.

Edwin "Walt" Smith, 90, beloved husband and father, passed away at the Regency Care Center in Omak, WA on December 31, 2014, from a stroke. Walt was born at home in Carrolls, WA, November 15, 1924, to Percy A. and Anna E. (Parsons) Smith. An only child, Walt was raised in Oregon and Washington. He graduated from La Center High School in 1942. At 17, he joined the Navy and spent WWII as a radioman aboard ship.
