Merton Morris Hiatt was born to Mary Myrtle (Morris) and Leon Elmer Hiatt on May 22, 1922, at Kalispell, MT. The family came to Dryden, WA in 1929, where they purchased a grocery store. She married Richard Strom, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a fighter pilot and flew for Goodfellow Brothers subsequently. Maria Estella Vasquez, 52, a longtime resident of Dryden, WA, died Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, WA. Maria was born on November 12, 1962, to Felix and Eulalia (Montero) Vasquez at Huajuapan De Leon, Qoaxaca, Mexico, where she was raised and educated. She married Ricardo Castro in Mexico and later moved to the upper Wenatchee Valley, eventually settling in Dryden with her two sons.

Frederick Ivan Owyen

Born in Spokane, WA to Carl Adolph Owyen and Lucille Eunice Crider, Fred was the oldest of four brothers. The family moved to Oroville, WA in the early '40s, where Fred met and married Peggy Day in 1947. The couple relocated to Wenatchee, WA, where they raised their son and three daughters. Summers included camping and cutting firewood in area forests, and fishing and boating on the area lakes.

James Henry Wolf

James Henry Wolf, 79, of Quincy, WA, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015, in his home with family by his side. Jim was born to Henry and Metta (Samson) Wolf on March 6, 1936, in Albion, NE. He moved with his family to Idaho in 1941, and he met and married Martha Cox in Ucon, ID on June 29, 1960. Following many moves, the Wolf family moved to Quincy in 1974.

Donald McKinney, age 61, passed away on February 22, 2015, in Everett, WA. Don was diagnosed with melanoma in 2008. He enjoyed a long remission following a courageous one year battle. He passed away unexpectedly after a recent hospitalization related to the reoccurrence of his melanoma.

She was born March 28, 1924, to Archie and Millie (Brown) Moore at Entiat, WA, where she attended school. At a young age, she moved to Leavenworth. In 1941, she married Edward Reynolds. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Odell was born to Alonzo and Vivian Smith in Juliette, GA. He was the fourth oldest of ten siblings. He enjoyed his boyhood in the south.
