Gary graduated from Lake Stevens High School with the class of 1957. He attended the Carpenters Apprenticeship Program in Everett, WA, worked as a union carpenter for 13 years and owned Fischer Construction in Lake Stevens for 30 years. Patricia Theresa Creger, 74, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 30, 2014. Although her passing was sudden and unexpected, she had achieved a contented and full life. Pat was born on December 2, 1939, to Dr. Eugene and Mrs. Bernadette Murphy in South Bend, IN. She attended Catholic schools in South Bend, undergraduate studies at Marquette University and graduate studies at Loyola and Notre Dame Universities. They made their home in Monitor, WA and raised four children. She worked much of her life in the fruit industry, alongside the love of her life, Lowell Ray Andruss and her sister, Barb. Her real education, however, began after she met and married Tom Turner and they had four sons. During their life together, Bettie and Tom lived in La Junta and Pueblo, CO, in Richland, Renton and Wenatchee, WA, and in Anchorage and Valdez, AK.

In 1964, Maurine, husband, Alvin and their four daughters moved to the family ranch in Okanogan County near Molson, WA, where they raised beef cattle, hay and grain along the Canadian border.

In 1946, she married C.R. "Dick" Nickell, the former sheriff of Chelan County and Washington State Legislator. Pat and Dick were married until his death in 1991.
