Costumed candy-hunters paraded down Wenatchee’s main thoroughfare Friday for the Wenatchee Downtown Association “Trick or Treat on the Avenue,” with businesses throwing open their doors and hosting events for Halloween weekend. Pybus Public Market held their 3rd “Art Lover’s Sunday,” event on Sunday where many local artists gathered with displays and worked on their art for the day. According to JoAnn Walker of the Market, they plan on having two of these events a year with the next one planned for sometime next February. The Wenatchee Area Divers club held their annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving contest on Sunday afternoon at Lake Chelan State Park. Nine members of the group carved for the competition. For more information on the club, see their Facebook site listed under Wenatchee Area Divers Group.
The Cascade volleyball team beats Chelan in four sets Thursday night in Leavenworth, the second win against the goats this year. The close match included scores of 27 - 25; 22 - 25; 25 - 23; and 25 - 17.
