I don't go to the woods to listen to engines. I go there for the silence, the peace and quiet. Don't need them rippin' up the calm of it all.

That's why the wilderness areas have been set aside for you. Head to the Goat Rocks and listen to the wind.

I think the current situation works well. I find trail bikers, both bicycle and motorized vehicle, are far more respectful of foot traffic than on the streets or loop trail. I think they appreciate the privilege.

There are places where vehicles are not allowed for the sensitive hiker. All the licensing that goes in to trail riding probably helps in maintaining the trails.

It causes a lot of damage & erosion to the trails besides being noisy.

Erosion causes damage to the trails. You need to do a little research on your vocabulary.

On several occasions I've seen motor bikes and ATV's being used illegally on the National Forest. Not only do they cause severe resource damage, but are also a fire danger. Remember the Fisher Fire?

not to mention the clowns with the big 4x4 trucks that go in and destroy everything they can.

I would vote that we should leave them as they are, but ONLY if idiots would stop going off the trails and tearing everything up. I would rather that motorized vehicles be completely outlawed on public land, if the only alternative is a forest riddled with tire-tracks and churned-up mud.

If we don't want to preserve our national forests, then go ahead and allow all manner of off-road vehicles. I don't think that is the wisest choice, but....

There should be access for all. These are all our lands. People who want peace and quiet have the wilderness areas. There should be a no tolerance rule for inappopriate behavior with vehicles (any and all) being taken by the government for tearing up unopen areas. That would nip that behavior in the bud.
